A change for the whole family
I thought that Little Earth Montessori might change my daughter and teach her how to be a caring, responsible person but I didn't realise how much it would change me and my whole family.
Little Earth's holistic approach involving the environment, family and community has allowed me to spend time with the children at preschool learning how to do mosaicking and organic gardening including workshops with Enviroschools - fabulous information that I have readily used at our home. My husband and I have spent a lovely afternoon roaming the local Nikau Forrest on the Family Earth Day Walk opening our eyes and ears to all the wonderful critters, fungi and plants right on our doorstep. We have also been part of the Christmas celebrations and bought bugs to live in the 'Bug Hotel' the kids had made.
I thought that Little Earth Montessori might change my daughter and teach her how to be a caring, responsible person but I didn't realise how much it would change me and my whole family - from not getting the house sprayed and learning to live with spiders to not yelling at my kids when they won't get their shoes on promptly to growing our own veges organically!
