The Nido Environment
An environment of harmony and beauty
The Nido environment is a prepared environment for children under three, where the child is able to explore without undue adult intervention, so the child becomes a confident, joyful learner, happy to explore and practice new skills. Parents observe their infant or toddler moving at their own pace in a positive and supportive atmosphere. Materials in the environment are made from natural resources and are intended to inspire and awaken curiosity with even the youngest child.
