Parenting from he Heart
The first 3 years of life are the most critical period in a child's life. The young child is constantly learning, absorbing everything in her environment. We acknowledge that the young child will develop according to nature’s plan in a culture of respect where they can be a free and equal human being.
Infants are born with tremendous potential. Their brain and physical development progress faster at this time than at any other time in life. At the core of the young child’s development is the trust and security of the relationship between the infant and the parent. A caring adult is necessary for the infant to develop strong, loving, trusting relationships and attachments that will help to prepare them socially and emotionally for adulthood.

The child has his own laws of development; it is a question of following these, not of imposing ourselves upon him. Maria Montessori
